Help Us Save Vape

The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) released their regulations for electronic cigarettes and eJuice. The law goes into effect August 2016 and vape shop owners have two years to comply. Unless we act, every single product and flavor of eJuice available right now will disappear. Period. The FDA has required that each product be licensed and these licenses cost anywhere from a few hundred dollars to a million per product. Every flavor is a different product, and every nicotine level is a different product. Without your voice and support, these life-saving devices will disappear and you will no longer have access to them. This is not regulation, this is prohibition.
What Should You Do?
1) Contact Congressman Brian Higgins:
     (716) 282-1274
     2459 Rayburn House Office Building
     Washington, DC 20515
2) Contact Senator Charles Schumer:
     (202) 224-6542
     322 Hart Senate Office Building
     Washington, DC 20510
3) Contact Senator Kirsten Gillibrand:
     (202) 224-4451
     478 Russell Senate Office Building
     Washington, DC 20510
Write, call, and email these officials and tell them to support the HR2058 law. This law would allow every vaping product currently on the market to be grandfathered into the FDA regulations. Good talking points are:
  • How electronic cigarettes have helped yourself, family members, or friends.
  • Any support you have gotten from your doctors or health officials.
  • Remind them how many people will die if these life-saving devices are taken off the market.
  • Remind them that most distributors are local, small businesses that provide employment and income for the community and these shop owners would not have the resources to comply with the regulations and will therefore be forced to go out of business.
  • Respectfully remind them that you vote and will vote for an official that supports vaping and electronic cigarettes.
Remember to be both respectful and professional when contacting the officials. Not doing so will backfire on the vape industry and affect all of us negatively. Do not use foul language or insults.

Proofread anything you write to avoid spelling and grammatical errors. Remember, they may be looking for anything that will discredit you so they can dismiss your request. Doing this once is not going to be enough. Nor will doing it twice or even three times. We need you to contact these officials on a regular basis.

We need their telephone lines, emails, and mailboxes flooded with your responses. No matter how you may be treated, remain polite and calm. Do not let anyone make you angry because that may be exactly the reaction they want to provoke out of you.
4) Join CASAA (The Consumer Advocates for Smoke-Free Alternatives Association) at www.casaa.org.
5) Sign and email the letter to Representative Tom Cole that you can pick up in our store.
6) Spread the word. Tell everyone you know about this threat and use your social media outlets to spread awareness and support.
We need to begin taking our control back as "The People." The FDA no longer exists to ensure our safety and protect the American people. It is time for all of us to begin fighting back. This is a start. If you have any questions or concerns, Aurelia team members will be happy to assist you in anything you need.

Sincerely,

Aurelia Sales Team
